Hypnomart (2001)
Digital animation (loops, patterns and performances from surveillance footage) by Joe Magee and Alistair Gentry. Funded by the Arts Council of England and Channel 4 Television as part of the Animate! scheme. First broadcast was on November 6th 2001 by Channel 4 Television. Its non-TV premiere was in November of 2001 at the Watershed in Bristol, as part of the Brief Encounters International Short Film Festival. Hypnomart was one of three finalists for a British Animation Award in the Best Film at the Cutting Edge and Best Use of New Technology category.

International Symposium on Electronic Art (ISEA) in Nagoya, Japan. ISIS Arts' Big M touring inflatable cinema toured festivals all over the UK and Northern Europe for several years. Brief Encounters international short film festival, Bristol, 2001. SWIPE Digital Media Festival 2001 at PVA Medialab, Bridport Arts Centre 2001. On Collectable 03/03 Audio & Art CD, Flux magazine no.28, UK, 2002. Featured in Mac Format magazine, 2002. Group show Art in the Bar at Chapter Arts, Cardiff 2002. Group show Visions in the Nunnery at the Nunnery Gallery, Bow Arts Trust, London 2002. Group show Over the River at FirstSite, Colchester and Wolsey Gallery, Ipswich 2002. Lovebytes international festival of digital art, Sheffield, 2002. Vertical (digital shorts) ICA, London 2002. British Architecture Week, Habitat, London, 2002. On CD, IDN magazine, 2002 and Microwave Festival in the same year, both in Hong Kong. In Alistair Gentry's Werewolves solo show at ArtSway. Group show Winter Wonderland, Poole Arts Centre, 2002-2003. Group show Re:Thinking:Time at Peterborough Digital Arts, 2004. In Born Free at the Victoria and Albert Museum and Shaping the Contours at The National Portrait Gallery in London, both 2006. On the BBC Big Screen in Liverpool, 2006. In Whitechapel's Film Circus, London, 2008.

There is also an extended and remixed version, Hypnomart Redux (2002), which has been shown in several places.
